... a voluntary sector, charitable organisation based in Wester Hailes in West Edinburgh. Established in 1992 as part of the community regeneration process, in 2000 we moved in to the purpose built WHALE Learning Centre.
WHALE provides access to supported, professionally led arts activities for enjoyment, skills development and personal growth.

New term at WHALE
We've got a spring in our step here in Wester Hailes - trees are blooming, canal is shimmering ...
And we're welcoming lots of new folk into sessions right through the week.
For adults, dancing and drama continue this term as well as the long running introduction to visual art sessions and IT classes. We're planning our first Film Night as well, so come along and be part of a new group of movie go-ers. See our full programme on our courses page.
For young people, things are getting noisy, with the launch of two new music projects - the Edinburgh Youth Gaitherin
are launching their traditional scottish music workshops in May and a unique opportunity to learn DJ skills begins in April. There's also an opportunity to get involved in digital design, learning how to use Adobe programmes to create a poster to be used for Altogether in the Park. Programme on the courses page.
So, for a new lease of life, pop over and get creative!
Artists Unlimited Exhibition
Our friends and tenants, Artists Unlimited will be exhibiting their work in May and June. This buzzing group of older people have been working in oils recently so pop in and have a look at what they've achieved. See events.
