A weekly visual arts and crafts group for adults with complex or additional support needs. The group explores creativity and expression with varied art materials, and is run by a professional artist and support worker.

Stitch ‘n’ Time

Learn to up-cycle textiles creatively in a relaxed and sociable group. Create exciting textile projects using traditional sewing, crochet and knitting techniques, meet new people and share ideas.

New for WHALE Arts! Join photographer Paul Cowan for an eleven week digital photography course for beginners.

Anyone with an interest in taking photos, learning about film cameras and printing in a traditional darkroom is welcome to join our evening sessions once a month. All levels of experience from novice to expert are welcome.

Bring out your dramatic side and get on stage with our group WHALEs Without a Cause. For beginners as well as those with some drama experience. This term the group will be preparing for the Christmas Showcase on 21 December.

WHALE Community Cinema
Help us develop a community cinema at WHALE Arts! We’re looking for volunteers with a love of film to take part in training and run public screenings. WHALE Community Cinema is a member of Film Hub Scotland.

Digital Sentinel Job Search and Online Benefit Applications Drop-In

The Digital Sentinel has launched a new drop-in offering support for online job search website and online benefit applications. Please note these drop-ins are not Welfare advice sessions but rather offer a place and helping hand for people currently needing help to complete online forms. Room For Art

Room For Art is a project run in partnership by Art in Healthcare, WHALE Arts and Wester Hailes Health Agency that offers free art workshops with artist Heather Lucchesi to improve health and wellbeing.
