The Street Arts project is an exciting new outreach project for young people aged between 10 and 19 years old and living in the Wester Hailes area. Creative sessions are taking place out on the streets of Wester Hailes in the areas where young people like to hang out.

Since October 2008 ....

Various creative sessions have been run on the Walkers, Westburn and Murrayburn estates and have included Westside Plaza. Local young people have participated in street dance sessions, written 'urban poetry' with a musician and been involved in youth consultation sessions. The photos below show some of the sessions that have taken place so far.

2012

We are running sessions every Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. Young people will have the chance to work with visual artists, musicians, photographers and dancers.
